Wild Food Kitchen: pop-up restaurant

The Arthaus building on Richmond Road near London Fields has been transformed by the friendly crew from the Wild Food Kitchen, who turned a concrete box into a hip and happening dining space with bunting, art works sold in aid of Art Against Knives and the panel of an old caravan making up the bar. The brains and cooking skills behind the project are Jimmy Garcia and Laurence Daw, who founded the Southwest Supper Club. Their tasty and prettily presented food is mostly foraged, buskers played sax and blues, and the booze flowed. And here are two great recipes from the night, provided by the Wild Food Kitchen, for a cute walnut and smoked salmon starter, and spiced pears and iced white chocolate parfait.

Thank you Helena for the lovely plug today on Lonely Planet – very very much appreciated. I was starting to feel a bit blogged down…it really helped. xLiz
