Baked apples

cooking apples
dried dates
cloves
runny honey
brandy
brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

Core the apples and score a circle round their middles – this stops the apple collapsing or exploding!

Pack the hole in each apple with 2 chopped dates, 2 cloves, 1tbsp honey and 1tbsp brandy. Top with 1 tbsp brown sugar.

Bake for 35mins.

Serve with crème fraiche, cream or yoghurt.
